Can you believe we are more than halfway through the year already? The official first day of summer has come and gone and we are now seeing the manifestation of all the things we were excited for about summer! Say hello to vacations, pool side parties, and beach trips! Have you guys done any of these so far?
I am slowly inching my way through the typical summer rituals. I have only been to the pool once and haven’t really participated in any other summer activity yet. I am hoping that changes this month. *fingers crossed*

Blog Views & The Content Calendar
I have been debating continuing the content calendar for a while. I was really worried that not posting would jeopardize my 700 blog views goal but the fact that I was able to not only accomplish it, but EXCEED it proved a very important saying: Quality over Quantity. July will be a bit of a trial month for me in that I will be putting the content calendar away and focusing on bringing my a-game in the quality area.
The Two Books I Read…
Copper Sun was about a fictional historical account of slavery in the 1800’s from the perspectives of two young teenage girls, one being an indentured servant and the other being a slave. It wasn’t so much eye-opening as it was kind of a hard tale of what the realities were of the young women and men who endured days in those positions.
How Full Is Your Bucket? was about a theory called “The Dipper and The Bucket”. The theory states that everyone has a bucket and a dipper. Throughout every interaction with another person we are either adding to someone else’s bucket or taking from their bucket. When a bucket is full, positive interactions and vibes are high! When a bucket is being added to, this resembles the giving of one person to another in a positive way. When a bucket is empty or being dipped from, this resembles negative and draining interactions. Overall, it was a very enlightening book on how to best ensure that your daily interactions are positive for you as well as spreading positivity to others.
Although I didn’t complete all 10 workouts, I came pretty close and with that I am pretty satisfied! I did two workouts every week, which is better than May’s sad number of 1 or 2 workouts out of the entire month.
You would think I had a sense of urgency with this one… after all I did set a time frame in which to complete it. However, I am not a major spender. I never have been! I’ve always been a big saver. I hate to admit it, but I relaxed on this more than I should have. Regardless of if I am a big spender or not, it is important to have a monetary game plan.
